Charles W. Morgan coming to New Bedford!

The schedule is public — The restored Charles W. Morgan ("the last wooden whaleship in the world") will sail into New Bedford this June, and stay for the 4th of July and the New Bedford Folk Festival.

That's June 28 through July 6. Save the dates.

  1. Riddle me this, Gansevoort: How much of the Chas. W. Morgan of today was also the Chas. W. Morgan that went a-whaling? A few timbers, perhaps? The rest having been replaced bit by bit over the decades, so that today's Chas. W. Morgan is primarily, perhaps, a replica?

    1. Herr Mozart -- That question is asked so frequently the Mystic Seaport has a kiosk to answer it. See a photo of the answer in the July 1, 2014 post.
